Should Danny Rose leave spurs?
Danny Rose is attracting sea of interest from European powerhouses with Manchester City are reported to have moved one step ahead of others.
Tottenham LB Danny Rose is a primary target for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as claimed by ‘Daily Mirror’. In his first season in charge, Pep has already made it clear that he wants to lower the average age of the squad and he would carry on his ruthless mentality in the upcoming transfer window also with Rose being a subject of £50m bid from City.
Both of Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov are above 30’s and one or both gonna face the axe this summer to pave the way for Rose. Pep has already reiterated his desire to build a team around English players. So, Rose would be a nice addition alongside John Stones and Raheem Sterling.
It’s not like Spurs are in dire need of money right now but it would be difficult for them to turn down such an astronomical figure considering the fact that they are going through a £750m project of rebuilding the White Hart Lane.
The England International who has been rock solid at the back since his arrival from Leeds United for £1m in 2007, signed a fresh four-and-a-half year contract with Spurs four months ago. But he could see his wages doubling upon joining City from Mauricio Pochettino’s side. If Rose does decide to leave then Spurs would go for Manchester United LB Luke Shaw who has been frozen under current manager Jose Mourinho. Shaw, 21, is an England International and perfectly fits the bill for Spurs.
Elsewhere ‘The Sun’ suggests not only City but their arch rivals Manchester United along with La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also after the-26-year-old England International.
With plenty of offers on the table, it’ll certainly be a busy summer for Danny Rose.
