Guardiola’s Man City targeting Young Bayern Winger?
Man City are targeting Kingsley Coman to get a backup for Raheem Sterling & Leroy Sane.
Currently, Coman plays for Bayern on a Loan Deal from Juventus which will expire after one month but reports say Bayern are planning to activate the €21 million agreed transfer fee to make Coman stay at Bayern Munich. Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and their manager Carlo Ancelotti have confirmed this.
Though L’Equipe claim that once Bayern sign Coman from Juventus, Man City will lodge a €50 million offer to sign the French International.
According to French sources (Le10sportand, Téléfoot, L’Equipe), Man City are really interested in Signing the 20-year-old who had a Great season under Guardiola at Bayern. He registered 11 assists & 6 Goals across the two competitions previous season. But under Carlo Ancelotti, this season he only had 5 Bundesliga starts with 8 substitute appearances, 0 Champions League starts (1 Substitute appearance). He managed to score 2 Goals in the Bundesliga but couldn’t register any assist this Season across all competitions.
According to Matt Hughes, Football Notebook in The Times there has been a major deterioration in the relationship between the 20-year-old’s family & Bayern. Times say Coman’s father was knocked back by Bayern when he requested for a Champions League ticket to the Emirates to watch the 2nd Leg tie of Arsenal vs Bayern Munich, which his father took as a bad sign for Coman’s career at Bayern. But Bayern insisted that the request came too late for a ticket.
With Rumours going on, Coman had a chat with L’ Equipe about his plans for future – “I want to stay at Bayern” – Coman.
