Petr Cech discusses Arsenal’s set piece woes
Petr Cech admits that he has no idea about arsenal’s recent dip in form and inability to defend set-pieces.
Arsenal faced 3-1 defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion after conceding twice from corners and has made their fight for top four difficult.
Arsenal goalkeeper & veteran Petr Cech told that coach Arsene Wenger is making them do the right things on the training ground. The problem is the players can’t implement the strategy on the field.
He said ‘We have no problems during preparations or in training,’ Cech told ‘The issue is taking it all to matches. That’s the worst part. When things don’t go well in training, you can work on that, make it right, but this is not the case. Our levels of performance in matches are not near what this team can do, what it should be doing.’
Arsenal’s defence has been on a toll after the departure of class defenders like Gallas, Campbell and Kolo Toure but it is going from bad to worse this season. Arsenal is 19points behind league leader Chelsea and 6points behind fourth-placed Liverpool. They are out of UEFA Champions League after the 10-2 thrashing by Bayern Munich in the round of 16.
