Barcelona and Juventus are eyeing summer swoop for PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.

Barcelona and Juventus-who will meet each other in Champions League Quarter-final, are ready to indulge in another off-screen battle for Verratti.

Juve director reckons Verratti as ‘Gonzalo Higuain of the midfield’ whereas Barcelona see Verratti as the perfect successor of Andres Iniesta.

According to ‘Daily Mail’ PSG president wants to build his team around Verratti and only a bid around £61m can prise him away from Parc des Princes.

But the Italy international’s agent Di Campli links him away from any such potential transfer.

Di Campli told Nansa on Monday: “Marco Verratti will continue at PSG. He has a contract until 2021. He will stay in France. There is no doubt because he is a respectful person with contracts.”

“Afterwards, if PSG ask us to leave, we will leave. It’s [too] soon to speak about a return to Italy.”

Corriere dello Sport reports that Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are also interested in Verratti whereas ‘Bleacher Report’ added Chelsea and Manchester United to the long list of potential suitors.
Verratti played 32 games for PSG this season scoring 2 goals and providing further 6 assists.
