Australia leading India by 48 runs when the day two ended In Bengaluru on Sunday.

India and Australia soldiered out a battle in the first session which would be the talking point in every nook and cranny of the cricketing circles for some time to come. There was bravado, banter, patience, skills on show and a bowler-aiding pitch which posed as the stage for all the theatrics for the first session.

India was all out for just 189 runs by the Aussies in the first innings. Australia started their run chase today and was looking to take advantage of the low total set by India.

Indian bowlers were looking sharp and were on target from the first ball. They created problems for Aussies batsman and knocked down six wickets.

The wickets were taken by Ishant Sharma (1/39), Umesh Yadav (1/57), Ravindra Jadeja (3/49) and R Ashwin (1/75) for India.

At stumps, Australia’s score read 237/6 with Matthew Wade (25*) and Mitchell Starc (14*) at the crease when Umbire called off the day two of the second test match.
