Real Madrid beat Eibar in a stunning way to reach the top of the table.Final score

Real Madrid beat Eibar by to secure their position at the top of the league.The goals were scored by Benzema (14′ minutes, 25′ minutes), Rodríguez (29′ minutes), Asensio (60′ minutes) for Real Madrid and  Peña (72′ minutes) scored for Eibar.


Real Madrid started the game without Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, Ronaldo was out due to an injury and Bale was suspended.

Real started the game strongly, they were attacking from the first second of the match.The first chance of the game came in just 30seconds after kick off to Karim Benzema but his shot was deflected away by  Ander Capa in Eibar defence.

The game was quiet for few minutes as they were few chances created and both the team had equal possession of the ball. The first breakthrough came at the 13th minute of the game when Benzema scored the opener for Real Madrid.

Benzema’s first shot was saved by the goalkeeper but the ball was not cleared well and Benzema lashed into the ball to score the opener.

Just minutes later Benzema increased the advantage for Real as he scored again for Real at the 23 minute as James Rodriguez cross from a freekick spot was inch perfect and the french man only had to tap the ball in.

Real was looking strong and were attacking the weak Eibar defence, James Rodriguez marked his return to the first team with a wonder goal at the 30th minute. Karim Benzema gets an assist to add to his two goals as his cross from the right is turned home, over keeper Yoel, by a sliding James Rodriguez.


Real Madrid dominated the game and were leading when the players left the field for the halftime break. The score at Halftime was Eibar 0-3 Real Madrid.

The second half was no different from the first as Real were looking aggressive and were attacking their opponents with sheer pace and skills.

Karim Benzema was looking dangerous for the opponents as he came close to scoring his hat-trick in the 50th minute but his shot was not on target.

Marco Asensio scored the fourth goal for Real, Marco Asensio played the ball across goal to James Rodriguez, whose shot hits the post and lands back at Asensio’s feet and he turns the ball into an empty net from a tight angle.


Real were hoping to end the match with a clean sheet but Ruben Pena pulls one back for Eibar in the 71st minute after turning home a Pedro Leon cross at the far post.

There were few real chances for Real to extend their lead but they failed to score during the last ten minutes of the game.The game ended with a score line 4-0.

With the win Real reach the top of the table with 59 points while Eibar are now at the seventh position with just twenty-nine points.
