Harry Kane scored a decisive penalty to secure three points for Tottenham against Middlesbrough.
Tottenham beat Middlesbrough by 1-0 with the help of Harry Kane’s goal from Penalty kick.Kane scored the penalty after Bernardo fouls Son inside the penalty box.
Spurs have kept the title race alive with the win over Middlesbrough but they are still nine points behind league leaders Chelsea who managed to beat Arsenal earlier.
The game started with fireworks on both sides as Alvaro Negredo headed over the bar in the fourth minute and on the other side Son Heung-min pulled out a great save from Victor Valdes.
Tottenham were dominating the game from the start,they were creating lot of open chances to score but they had to wait until almost the hour mark to open the scoring.
The scoring was opened by Harry Kane as he kept a cool head to score from a Penalty kick,spurs were awarded a penalty after Bernardo brought down Son Heung-min.
Spurs were really creating a lot of chances and Christian Eriksen got a golden opportunity to double their lead but his shot was saved well by Valdes at Middlesbrough goal.
Tottenham secure their seventh successive home win after beating Middlesbrough and secure three points.Spurs are now at the second place with 50 points while Middlesbrough are at 15th with 21 points.
