Claude Makelele has joined Swansea City as assistant coach
Claude Makelele former Real Madrid and France midfielder has joined the Premier League side Swansea City as assistant coach.
Makelele has joined Paul Clement at Swansea City as an assistant manager.His current deal is till the end of this season and further extension will be based on his performance as a coach.
Mekelele has already worked under Clement when they where part of Carlo Ancelotti’s background staff at Paris Saint German.
Both are new to the club as Celment took charge of the club during start of 2017, replacing Bob Bradley after his sacking and being handed the task of saving the team.
Swansea are current in a bad position as they are at the verge of relegation and the club is hopping that new staff can turn the fortune in their favor.
“Swansea City is pleased to confirm that former French international Claude Makelele has joined the club’s coaching staff,””The former Real Madrid, Chelsea and PSG midfielder has been named as an assistant coach.”
“Makelele will get his first taste of the Liberty on Saturday when he’s in the dug-out for the Swans’ Premier League fixture with Arsenal”-an official statement read.
Swansea City are now at the 19th position above last placed Hull city with just 15 points.
