Chelsea granted permission to renovate their stadium
Chelsea has been graded with permission to re build their entire stadium and increase the capacity of Stamford Bridge to 60,000.
Hammersmith and Fulham committee held a long 3 hours meeting with chelsea officials and later agreed on the plans of expansion of the blues’s stadium to the capacity of 60000 which will make them the 5 largest premier league stadium.
Now that they have the planning permission from the local authorities, they wait for the green light from London’s mayor Mr. Sadiq Khan to commence the £500m project.
The £500m project that redesigns the historical arena makes it bigger in capacity, which currently is 42000 nd after redevelopment goes to a whooping 60000, and even more beautiful. Looking at the artistic images, we can say its going to be one of the most beautiful arena in premier league.
With rivals Tottenham Hotspurs already upgrading their stadium it was important for Chelsea to do the same to maintain its reputation as one of the biggest premier league club.
The design is being appreciated all around and termed as “significant sporting venue” and “unique architectural solution” by the case officer John Sanchez, he also stated that “the design has met the demands of a potentially difficult brief and builds upon the historic stadium”.
Chairman Bruce Buck who also attended the meeting reveals that the blues have recieved huge support from the fans in form of more than 12000 post cards showing their love and support towards the proposed expansion plans coming from as far as Nigeria and the United States Of America.
“This is just the latest step, although a significant one that we have to take before we can commence work.”, “We are grateful that planning permission was granted for the redevelopment of our home” quoted the Club statement.
With the earlier arena holding so many historical memories being remodeled to get even better, bigger, and beautiful, it can b said that the fans will really be happy.
