Troy Deeney saves the day for Watford
The Premier League match between Watford and Crystal Palace end in an 1-1 draw.The goals were scored by Deeney (71′ minutes pen) for Watford and Cabaye (26′ minutes) for Crystal Palace.
Sam Allardyce got his first point after taking charge of Crystal Palace and the same game saw the 100th goal for Watford captain Troy Deeney.Gomes also marked his 100th appearance for Watford after starting in this game.
Palace started the game really well and they did dominated the game,they were gifted with a goal from Yohan Cabaye’s low strike in the 26th minute of the game.
But it was not always a great game for Palace as Christian Benteke got a golden chance to increase the lead from a penalty kick but his penalty was saved by Watford goal keeper Heurelho Gomes.
The Joy did not last long for Palace as Deeney converted his penalty which was given after Sebastian Prodl was fouled.Deeney kept a cool head in front of goal and finished the penalty really well.
After the draw Crystal Palace are now at 17th position just two point above Sunderland and on the other hand Watford are now at 10th position with one point clear of 11th placed Bournemouth.
