Kerala Blasters beat Delhi Dynamos by 1-0 in the first leg of the semi-final which was held at Kochi,Kerala.Belfort  scored the only goal at 65th minute to conform victory for Blasters.

Blasters started the match strongly and the first chance of the game came to Blasters when Belford find Vineeth on the left wing who had a great chance to score but his shot went wide at the second minute.

Blasters plans were working and they didn’t allow Delhi to find a clear-cut chance.Delhi’s first shot came from Kean Lewis but he failed to test the Kerala goalkeeper.

There were lot of rough challenges during the first half of the game Mehtab was booked for a rash challenge on Malouda and Josu was booked for a challenge on Marcelinho.

Josu did not keep a cool-head and he was lucky not to get booked again,Referee gave him two warning and eventually he was substituted by Didier Kadio.

Kerala might had a 2-0 victory as Kevin Belfort scored a great goal at the 42th minute but the goal was ruled out as the assistant referee raised his flag for a had ball but in the replay it looked fine and that was huge mistake from the assistant referee.

The second half was even more energetic than the first one,Kerala were constantly attacking the Delhi with their counter attack and Belfort scored a great goal to break the deadlock at 63’minute.

But Delhi did not loose their hope they became more aggressive and nearly scored a goal but a goal-line clearance from Hengbart to keep their lead intact in the 75th minute.

Marcelinho got a chance to score but the ball was cleared away by Jhingan’s tackle during the stoppage time.The Delhi players argued for a penalty but referee did not gave a foul.

We can consider this as one of the best game in Indian Super League so far as the game had everything from great attack to the best defending.

The second leg will be played on Wednesday at Delhi and Kerala can relay on the one goal advantage and hope to keep a clean sheet at Delhi.
