Chapocoense have appointed a new coach following the plane crash that killed most of their players and coaching staff.

Brazilian football club Chapecoense have appointed a new coach after the airline crash last week that killed 71 people, including most of its players, coaching staff, and board.

Vagner Mancini has coached several Brazilian clubs including Gremio, Santos and Vasco de Gama, has agreed to replace Caio Junior( Chapocoense Head Coach), who was among the dead.

Chapecoense are rebuilding to play the Copa Libertadores for the first time in their 43-year history. They have only six eligible players in their professional squad at the moment. several Brazilian clubs offered to loan them players.
