FIFA Rankings: Argentina stays at top
The latest FIFA ‘Coca Cola’ Men’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body today. Argentina stays at top position with 1,621 points, Brazil (1,544 pts) climbed one spot to reach second spot.
World Cup winners Germany (1,433 pts) is in third spot, while Chile(1,404 pts) advanced two ranks to reach fourth and Belgium (1,382 pts) dropped a place to be fifth in the world rankings. Iran (797 pts) tops Asia ranked at 30 , followed by Korea Republic (699 pts) , Japan (644 pts) and Australia (636).
India remained unchanged at 137th position behind Madagascar and ahead of El Salvador.With 217 points, 13 less than last month , also managed to stay at 22nd position in the Asian (AFC) rankings.
At the moment India has no matches lined-up for the next few months, though the AIFF is looking to play an international friendly before the start of the National league.
