Kerala Blasters beat Chennaiyin FC by 3-1
The south Indian darby end in a 3-1 victory for Kerala against Chennai.The goals were scored by Vineeth,Kadio for Kerala and Mendy for Chennaiyin FC.
Materazzi opted to make five changes for the high-pressure derby from the team that was dismantled by Delhi.
Chennaiyin started the game strongly and were constantly attacking the Kerala defence. The first goal of the game was scored by Mendy for Chennaiyin FC.
Belford got injured during the first half and was replaced by German.Kerala forced a couple of corners in first half stoppage time but nothing came off it.
The visitors were having a lot of possetion during the first half and Kerala were picking holes in the Chennaiyin defense through counter attacks.
Steve Coppell replaced Michael Chopra with Ivorian Didier Kadio at the start of the 2nd half while Chennaiyin were unchanged.
Didier Kadio scored for Blasters at the 66th minute from German’s pass.Soon after the goal Mohammed Rafique was take off for Rino Anto, deployed on the left wing ahead of Josu while Vineeth shifted right.
Kerala took the lead in the 84th minute through Vineeth as his volley find the back of the net.Kerala’s scored their 3rd in the 89th minute as German provided a beautiful pass to Vinneth who finished it in a great fashion.
