No GPS enabled Rs 2,000 Notes
The rumours are spreading that new Rs 2000 notes will have GPS tracking chip to track the money so to reduce illegal money transactions.
Yesterday Government of India stoped the circulation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes due to large corruption and fake notes,they will be replaced with new Rs 500 and Rs 2000.
Reports of a chip-enabled series of new currency notes had surfaced immediately after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Tuesday that the government was scrapping the existing denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.
But today The Reserve Bank of India has dismissed the reports by stating that there is no such technology exist in this world.
“The only security features of the Rs. 2,000 note are the ones we have mentioned in our releases regarding the note,” an official in the Reserve Bank of India told. “The release is also on our Twitter account and it does not mention any chip.”
The new notes will have new print,new images,new water mark,coloured strip security threads and more.
