Kerala Blasters beat FC Goa by 2-1
Kerala Blasters beat FC Goa by 2-1 in a match which saw two red cards and lot of bad moments from the players.CK Vineeth came back to the team with a great goal and help gasp win over FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.
Pratik Chaudhary, Graham Stack, Mohammed Rafique and Michael Chopra started for Kerala and Raju Gaikwad started for FC Goa.
Kerala was dominating everything on the pitch right from the first half but a surprising goal was scored by Rafael Coelho from Richarlyson’s dangerous delivery.
After that goal Kerala was putting lot of pressure on Goa’s defense but it was unlucky for them that they had a lot of chance but could not find the equalizer.
Robin Singh,Richarlyson and Mehtab Hossain saw Yellow card from the referee at the first half of the game.
Coppell sent on Didier Kadio for Azrack Mahamat while Zico opted to take off Rafael for Trindade at the start of second half.
Goa’s captain Gregory given his marching orders after he appeared to block a goal-bound shot from Rafique with his arm following a mad scramble in the box.
Belford took the penalty and successfully scored the leveler for Kerala.
The scenario was similar to first half as Kerala constantly attacked Goa but were really unlucky to score a goal.Zicobring in Sahil Tavora for Robin Singh while Kerala added Antonio German to the forward line for Michael Chopra.
Rafique was substituted by CK Vineeth , Richarlyson was shown a second yellow for a two-footed lunge on CK Vineeth just outside the area, leaving them two-men down.
CK Vineeth bundled in the winner deep into stoppage time after a corner, where Goa had only eight-men on the pitch after Romeo was stretchered off from the field.
The match officials were surrounded by the Goan team and the referees had to whisked away to safety after the end of the game.
Kerala climb into the top four while Goa are in a series trouble as they are now at eight position and are 2 point behind Pune.
