FC Goa 1-2 FC Pune City
N’Doye scored the winner as Pune pick their first three points of the season. Goa will be disappointed for not having converted their chances. They should have been given a penalty too.
Zico made his intentions clear by opting to start Reinaldo Olivieira for the unimpressive Richarlyson Barbosa. The Gaurs lined up in a 4-1-3-2 formation with Sanjay Balmuchu slotting in as the lone defensive midfielder and Reinaldo partnering Rafael Coelho in attack.
The visitors opted for a 3-5-2 formation with marquee player Mohamed Sissoko starting the game in his trademark deep-lying-midfield position. Dharmaraj Ravanan joined Eduardo Ferreira and Gouramangi Singh in the three man defense while Tato and Anibal Rodriguez were entrusted with attacking responsibilities.
