Atletico de Kolkata beat Kerala Blasters by 1-0
Kerala came to play without their marquee player Aron Huges who left the country for his international duties.
Atlético de Kolkata also lose their marquee player Postiga at starting minutes of the game due to injury.
Atlético de Kolkata hold on to that 53rd minute goal to win their first match of the season. The deflected goal was enough to seal the game for the visitors as KBFC could not find any answer to the goal.
The goal was scored by Lara for Atletico de Kolkata.

Towards the end of the game, the Blasters did give it their all but the visitors somehow held on to the game and win the match. The referee did make a big call when he did not award the Blasters a penalty and instead booked Belfort for simulation.
Hengbart and Jhingan also came close to scoring but failed to keep their headers on target. It was just not their night as all their efforts went in vain.
ATK now move to second on the league table while KBFC find themselves on the bottom of the pile after losing both their opening fixtures. Still early days in the season but the home side will have to start finding their feet soon or risk falling behind.
