Yaya Toure announces retirement from international football after playing for 14 years for Ivory Coast.
Toure made 102 appearances for Ivory Coast and score 19 goals.
He als led his team to first Africa Cup of Nations victory from front.
“After 14 years playing for Les Elephants”
I have decided to end my adventure playing for the Ivory Coast” – Toure said.
“Some decisions are difficult to take but it is time to pass things on to other players.
“I thank all my supporters and my fans.”
He is now working hard to get him selves into Manchester City’s squad.
The Ivory Coast star insists he wants to remain at the Etihad Stadium.
He want to prove he is good enough to become a regular starter again.
He is regarded as the greatest player ever to come from Africa, and has been named African Footballer of the Year on four occasions.
